Veritas appoints two new members to team

Veritas has appointed Sami Lönnroth as its new IT and information security manager and Seppo Kurki-Suonio as its equity investment director.

Lönnroth joined Veritas from the software and services company Digia, where he worked as head of infrastructure.

Lönnroth has over 15 years of experience producing and developing IT services in various roles.

He commented on his appointment: "I am motivated by the enabling role of technology. My goal is to support business operations while creating a safe operating environment for employees and customers."

"Protecting psychological security, learning from mistakes and working in a solution-focused manner was something that appealed to me," added Lönnroth

Meanwhile, before joining Veritas, Kurki-Suonio worked in S-Banken's asset management, where he was the head of equity investment.

He was responsible for the team that managed equity funds and funds that invested in European equities.

During a career spanning over 20 years, Kurki-Suonio has held several portfolio management positions, including at Danske Bank and the pension company Ilmarinen.

"I came to Veritas to lead the equity team. It is a new role that provides good opportunities for me to benefit from everything I have learned during my career," Kurki-Suonio explained.

"The company's societal role and the corporate culture that I have heard so much about are also important to me."

Both of the experts began their new roles in May.
