Czech pillar III pension companies see CZK 5.295bn growth in AUM in Q1 2025

The assets managed by Czech Pillar III pension companies increased by CZK 5.295bn in the first quarter of 2025 (Q1 2025) compared to the end of 2024, according to the Association of Pension Companies of the Czech Republic (APS).

The results of Pillar III for Q1 2025 showed that 3,948,104 people were saving and investing in pension companies at the end of the first quarter of 2025 (Q1 2025) that managed a total of CZK 610.3bn in assets.

Additionally, the research found that in supplementary pension savings, 2,037,692 participants invested in participation funds and the volume of their assets under management reached CZK 243.75 bn.

Meanwhile, in transformed funds (supplementary pension insurance), which have been closed since the end of 2012, 1,910,412 participants saved with assets under management of CZK 366.55bn.

The results also showed that the number of participants under 18 years of age at the end of the quarter was 164,348, with an average monthly contribution of CZK 570.

Since the beginning of 2025, approximately 40,000 participants have joined the Czech Republic pension scheme (DPS) participation funds.

APS also reported that the volume of funds in the DPS increased by CZK 15bn.
