Lærernes Pension, which provides pension schemes for teachers in Denmark, has released its annual report for 2024.
It revealed that the membership of the Teachers' Pension continued to increase, reaching almost 164,000 by the end of the year.
Annual payments after labour market contributions also increased to almost DKK 7bn, while members of Lærernes Pension had a total return of DKK 11.5bn in 2024.
These returns correspond to 8.6 per cent - on par with the result for 2023.
Meanwhile, for listed shares, corporate bonds, and Danish properties, Lærernes Pension was again able to register a decrease in its carbon footprint, which at the end of 2024 was 77 per cent lower than in 2019, the starting point of its calculation.
At the same time, the share of its climate and environment-related investments grew to 10.5 per cent of the total portfolio, corresponding to DKK 17.9bn, over DKK 3bn more than the previous year.
