The Irish Association of Pension Funds (IAPF) has appointed Joyce Brennan as chief executive, replacing Jerry Moriarty, who stood down from the role earlier this year.
Brennan is currently managing director of General Investment Trust and has over 25 years' experience in the pensions sector with previous roles at Irish Pensions Trust, Mercer and KPMG and is an experienced director, leader and actuary.
She has been a Council member of the IAPF for the past three years and vice-chairperson of the IAPF for the past year. She also holds a number of non-executive Director roles in the Insurance sector.
Brennan will officially take up the new role from 1 August 2025.
Commenting on the appointment, IAPF Council chairperson, Kevin Cruise O’Shea, said: “I am delighted that Joyce has accepted the role of CEO of IAPF.
"The breadth and depth of experience and leadership she brings to the role will be very important in IAPF’s engagement with government and other key stakeholders.
"This is an important time for the sector from a policy perspective and the council of the IAPF and I are extremely pleased with the calibre of leadership we know Joyce will bring to the organisation.”
