Finnish public sector pension provider Keva has appointed a new director of customer relations and work ability, and a head of internal audit.
Mikko Kenni was elected director of customer relations and work ability after a unanimous decision from the board of directors at its meeting on 23 April.
Kenni has worked at Keva since 2018 and has been the employer customer relations and work ability unit director since 2022. He has also served as acting deputy CEO since the beginning of 2025.
Before Keva, Kenni worked extensively in consulting positions in the public and private sectors, including as the development director of Secure Personnel Services in the City of Helsinki Group.
The director of customer relations and work ability is a member of the management team and reports directly to the CEO.
The position is responsible for employer-customer services, disability and rehabilitation solutions, and specialist medical services.
The director of customer relations and work ability also leads Keva's employer-customer and work ability function.
The current holder of the position, Tapani Hellstén, will retire on 1 June 2025.
"Mikko has solid experience in Keva's customer field and customer work," said Keva CEO, Jaakko Kiander.
"He has a future-oriented approach, which is needed at Keva, and summarises the reasons for the selection," he added.
Meanwhile, Santeri Palojärvi, Master of Science (Econ.), has been selected as Keva's head of internal audit.
He will start in the position on 1 May 2025 and report to the CEO, Jaakko Kiander.
Palojärvi is moving to Keva from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority, where he has been employed since 2017.
Palojärvi was seconded to the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) as a national expert from 2021 to 2023.
He commented on his new role: "The pension sector has been at the heart of my work at the Financial Supervisory Authority. Moving to internal audit is a motivating next step. I will be able to evaluate and develop internal control and other administrative efficiency within Keva."
