Swedish pension company AMF has announced that its head of IT, Lena Ringström, will leave the company at the end of the year to work in her own business.
Ringström has worked at AMF for over 10 years and said it was with “mixed feelings” that she has announced it is now time to do something new.
“I'm proud of the work I and all my talented colleagues have done to improve and simplify our IT environment, while I look forward to continuing my career in my own organisation,” she said.
AMF CEO, Tomas Flodén, commented: “During her more than 10 years at AMF, Lena has implemented a long series of important changes and improvements to our IT operations, such as phasing out the mainframe computer, starting the move to the cloud, increasing security and introducing SAFe. And she has been a much-appreciated manager and co-worker, and for me, a great support in the company management.
“Although I regret that Lena has chosen to leave AMF, I appreciate that she has offered to stay on until the end of the year to contribute to the recruitment of replacements and an orderly handover.”
The process of recruiting a new head of IT will start immediately.
