Pensioenfonds UWV funding ratio remains steady

The policy coverage ratio for Dutch pension fund Pensioenfonds UWV remained steady at 119.6 per cent in January 2025, whilst the current coverage ratio increased to 118.8 per cent.

The latest update from the fund showed that the policy coverage ratio, which is the average coverage ratio over the past 12 months, increased slightly from 119.5 per cent to 119.6 per cent.

In addition to this, the current coverage ratio increased from 117.4 per cent, the lowest point seen in the past year, to 118.9 per cent.

The fund's coverage ratio has remained above 110 per cent consistently over the past year, which is the level at which the fund considers itself to be in "excellent health", with pension increases possible.

However, the fund confirmed that it does still have a financial crisis plan in place, which prepares the pension fund for a possible crisis.
