Swedish govt appoints new AP fund board members

The Swedish government has announced a number of appointments to AP fund boards, including two new board members for both AP1 and AP2.

Annika Andersson and Erica Sjölander have been appointed as new members of the AP1 board, following the departure of Åsa-Pia Järliden Bergström.

Annika Andersson has extensive experience in the financial industry, including as a portfolio manager and responsible for ownership issues, information and sustainability at AP4.

Erica Sjölander, meanwhile, has been head of the Trade Union Confederation's joint office since 2017, and has also sat on both AP4 board and Export Credit Board.

The remaining board members have also had their appointments renewed, as AP fund board members are appointed for one year at a time, with a maximum term of around 8 years.

Alongside this, the government has named Mikael Bohman, who has extensive experience from various managerial positions, and Rikard Andersson, who has more than 20 years' experience in asset management, as new members of the AP2 board.
