New AMF CEO Tomas Flodén to take up position early

The board of AMF (AMF Tjänstepension AB) has decided to bring forward the change of CEO, with Tomas Flodén set to take up the position on 4 November.

Flodén is currently CEO of AMF Fonder and head of asset management. He has previously been chief of staff and deputy CEO at AMF.

“The process of changing the CEO of AMF has gone more smoothly and efficiently than we expected and we have therefore decided to bring forward Tomas Flodén's appointment to 4 November,” AMF chairman of the board, Lars Wedenborn, said.

She continued: “AMF is today a very well-managed and strong company and with Tomas as new CEO, we ensure that AMF will have both the strength required to continue to develop and be at the forefront, but also the continuity needed to continue to deliver good pensions to Sweden's workers,”

Flodén succeeds Johan Sidenmark who has been CEO of AMF since 2012. He will remain at AMF as a senior advisor for a period.

Katarina Romberg will replace Flodén as CEO of AMF Fonder and head of asset management.
