Danica Pension changes its name

Danica Pension, owned by Danske Bank, changed its name to ‘Danica’ on 1 January 2025.

The name change happened in connection with the roll-out of the new strategy, Forward 28 – Danica Pension, that runs from 1 January 2025 until 2028.

Commenting on the name change, Danica CEO, Mads Kaagaard, said: “We want to be the Danes' preferred pension company, and we will do so by making it easy and convenient to be a customer with us.

“A lot of our customers already know us just as Danica, so it is only natural for us to change the name to that. I think it gives us more opportunity to be at eye level.

"And then we see ourselves as more than just a pension company. We also help our customers with preventive health services before the damage strikes.

“We help them when the crisis hits. And then we help them back to everyday life and back to work. Our name must reflect this to a greater extent.”

Danica Pension was previously named "Danica" from 1991 to 1999.

The name change aligned with Danica’s new visual expression and is expected to be carried out over the next three years.

"There are a lot of employees, customers, and partners who already call us Danica, so I don't expect this to be a big upheaval for anyone. The change, together with our new strategy, will signal new winds and new great ambitions in Danica," Kaagaard said.
