Sweden’s AP7 launches pension engagement campaign

Sweden’s AP7 has launched a pension engagement campaign on Instagram.

Premium Pension Check has been launched to help savers engage with their pensions. AP7 has produced a simple guide to help savers create a better premium pension. The guide is made in collaboration with the communications agency Futurniture.

“To make it easier to understand, we have chosen to post it on Instagram and divide it into nine illustrative short films. The message we want to convey is that it's fun with control! Because no matter what decisions are to be made, it is good if they are based on factual knowledge,” AP7 stated.

The campaign aligns with the Swedish Pensions Agency’s orange envelopes, which are sent out between January and March. Almost eight million orange envelopes have been posted to savers and they give an overview of the state general pension, which consists of both the income pension and the premium pension.

AP7 operates within the premium pension and manages the pension in AP7 Såfa for those who do not choose, or who choose not to choose, any of the 467 eligible funds in the fund marketplace.

In total, there are 6.2 million pension savers within the premium pension, of which over five million savers have parts of their premium pension with AP7.
