News in brief: 13 October

- PensionDanmark and the architectural firm HHM have entered into an agreement to build the first 278 homes in the Coop Byen development in Albertslund.

The agreement includes two housing developments with smaller homes for young people and couples, as well as larger family homes. The parties expect to enter into agreements for a further DKK 150m in Coop Byen's first city quarter. Coop Byen's first city quarter is being built by the project company Coop Byen Vest P/S, which is owned by PensionDanmark.

- SH Pension has decided to adopt Lumera Live as its primary system platform and Future Core Cloud (FCC) as a strategic partner to ensure the introduction of a future-proof, powerful and complete system delivery.

It will enable SH Pension to further strengthen its operations and offer an even better service to its customers and partners. The choice of Lumera Live reflects SH Pension's ambition to run its business even more efficiently and to develop the business. Lumera Live gives SH Pension access to a flexible and scalable system platform (SaaS), which also includes self-service portals for individuals, companies and partners.

- The Finnish Centre for Pensions (ETK), along with the industrial safety authorities and the Finnish Tax Administration, are to carry out visits to constructions sites.

The purpose of the inspections is to ensure that employers observe fair terms of employment and to combat the grey economy. The jointly carried out inspections target construction sites and companies and workers operating on them. “By interviewing persons at construction sites, we get additional information on, for example, whether the work is done in an employment relationship or as self-employment,” ETK supervision manager, Tiia Lahti, said.
