Lars Sandahl Sørensen joins PFA board

Danish pension provider PFA has appointed Confederation of Danish Industry CEO, Lars Sandahl Sørensen, to its board of directors.

Sandahl Sørensen was elected at an extraordinary general meeting as a representative of the employer side, succeeding former Confederation of Danish Industry deputy CEO, Kim Graugaard.

PFA noted that Sørensen brings extensive experience from senior leadership positions in Danish business, as well as significant board-level expertise.

Commenting on the appointment, PFA board chair, Kim Duus, said: “With Lars Sandahl Sørensen, we are bringing a strong business profile to the board.

“He has in-depth knowledge of the conditions of companies and the development of the labour market, and this knowledge is important for PFA.

“His experience and skills will contribute to developing PFA further in the coming years to the benefit of the 7,000 companies and 1.3 million Danes who are customers of PFA.”

Sørensen added that he was looking forward to contributing to the continued development of Denmark's largest pension company.

“As Denmark's largest pension company, PFA has a crucial responsibility for society, businesses and the personal finances of many Danes,” he stated.

“I therefore look forward to continuing the historical representation from DI's top management on the board, and together with the rest of the board, creating even more value for customers by ensuring the company's further development in line with the needs of the labour market.”

The appointment follows Graugaard's retirement from the Confederation of Danish Industry and is part of the ongoing renewal of PFA's board.

Duus thanked Graugaard for his contribution, stating: “Kim Graugaard has made a great and committed effort over many years.

“He has helped develop PFA and strengthen the company, and we would like to thank him for his significant contribution to the work of the board of directors.”
