KPA Pension recognised as Sweden’s most sustainable pension brand

Swedish pension provider KPA Pension, part of the Folksam Group, has been recognised as Sweden’s most sustainable brand in the pension industry for the fourteenth year in a row.

It has been ranked top by the Sustainable Brand Index 2025, Europe’s largest independent brand study focusing on sustainability.

“We see sustainability as one of KPA Pension's most important pillars and we work long-term with a clear sustainability focus throughout our business,” KPA Pension head of marketing and communication, Anna Johansson, said.

“The award is yet another confirmation that our customers in the municipal and regional sector appreciate our sustainability work. Our main goal is to provide a secure and good pension, while at the same time we want the pension money to contribute to the transition.”

KPA Pension has worked actively with environmental and sustainability issues since 1998, when the company was the first financial company in Europe to be environmentally certified according to ISO 14001. It was also the first in the financial industry to be LGBTI certified.

“With a responsible investment strategy and more than SEK 300bn in assets under management, it is possible to influence and make a difference. Through both exclusionary and influencing criteria, KPA Pension is contributing to a more sustainable and equal society,” it stated.
