Jürg Roth to replace Martin Wagner as Credit Suisse Pension Fund manager

The Credit Suisse Pension Fund has appointed Jürg Roth as manager, following the resignation of Martin Wagner.

The latter is stepping down from his role as CEO of the pension fund for personal reasons, having managed the pension fund for more than 10 years.

During this time, the pension fund was able to develop strategically, for example, the MyPension portal was launched. He will continue to be available to the pension fund for project work and as a consultant.

Roth, who replaces Wagner as manager of the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) on 1 September, has worked for over 30 years in various roles at Credit Suisse and now at UBS, advising and supporting Swiss pension funds.

Commenting, Credit Suisse Pension Fund chair of the board of trustees, Joachim Oechslin, said: "We would like to thank Martin Wagner for his outstanding work. The pension fund is in very good financial and operational shape. At the same time, we are delighted to have found a proven expert to succeed him in Jürg Roth."

Furthermore, the pension fund also recently announced the appointment of Patrick Stolz as the new employer representative on the board of trustees and Pension Fund 2 of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland).

Stolz replaces Claude Täschler, who has served as a member of the board of trustees and chair of the compensation and promotion committee since March 2022.

Stolz has a degree in economics from the University of Bern and has worked at UBS for almost 30 years. He has held various management functions within HR since 2007, and since 2016 has held the role of head of human resources in Switzerland. He is also involved in several associations that aim to strengthen Switzerland's position as a financial centre.
