Industriens Pension, the Danish labour market pension scheme, has appointed Naja Klastrup as the new team leader in member and business service, effective from 1 October.
Klastrup has joined as one of four team leaders responsible for operations in the department, with a particular focus on member service.
She has a law degree from Aarhus University and joins the company from the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), where she held the position of head of unit in citizen service.
Before this, she also held roles at the House of Family Law and the Immigration Service, where she worked for 12 years.
Commenting on her appointment, Klastrup said: “I have always worked with people and service – and the understanding of being there for the citizen is deep in my DNA.
“And it fits well with the spirit of Industriens Pension, where they respond to inquiries quickly and take the time to give members a safe, competent and proper treatment every time they contact us.”
The scheme said that when Klastrup first heard about the position, what appealed to her was the new challenges and the good working environment that the job advertisement exuded, and her recruitment process was characterised by this.
"I noticed the good energy, the good working environment and the proper tone of communication both before, during and now after my employment,” she said.
“The management style also suits me very well – here it is about being there for your employees, supporting them both professionally and personally and then generally respecting each other's professionalism.”
Klastrup has not dealt with pensions before, Industriens Pension said that although she can expect a “steep learning curve”, she can contribute with her high professional and legal expertise in case handling, while also supporting her colleagues from a managerial perspective.
The member and business service department has been recognised as providing good service and high-quality advice in impartial customer surveys and at award ceremonies.
