Icelandic National Association of Pension Funds hires Andrés Þorleifsson as lawyer

The Icelandic National Association of Pension Funds (LL) has appointed Andrés Þorleifsson as a lawyer, effective from January 2026.

Over the past 10 years, Þorleifsson has worked as a lawyer at the Central Bank of Iceland and the Icelandic Financial Supervisory Authority.

Prior to this, he worked at the District Court of Reykjavík and the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

He completed a master’s degree in law from the University of Iceland in 2010 and a Legum Magister (LL.M.) degree from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in 2011.

Þorleifsson is licensed to practice law and is a certified securities broker.
