Fredric Nyström takes over Swedish AP Council on Ethics chair role

The Third Swedish National Pension Fund (AP3) head of sustainability and governance, Fredric Nyström, has assumed the position of chair of the board of the Council of Ethics for the Swedish National Pension Funds from 1 January 2025.

The board of the Council on Ethics also consists of representatives from the First (AP1), Second (AP2) and Fourth AP Funds (AP4). These include AP1’s Magdalena Håkansson, AP2’s Lina Sandström and AP4’s Pia Axelsson.

Commenting, Nyström said: “During 2025, we will continue the implementation of the new strategy that was agreed for the Council on Ethics in 2022 and the team led by Jenny Gustafsson. We also want to continue to raise awareness about the Council on Ethics and its work, share our experiences and learn from others.”
