Finland’s Veritas updates electronic occupational pension statements

Finnish earnings-related pension provider, Veritas, has made changes to its electric occupational pension statements, making them easier to read.

With the changes, the pension provider said the user-friendliness and accessibility of the occupational pension statement has been further improved.

"The order of the information on the excerpt is structured according to what interests the readers. The estimate of the earned pension is therefore at the top,” Veritas product specialist, Pirta Toivonen, said.

The electronic occupational pension statement shows an estimate of how much pension a person will receive when they reach their minimum retirement age, target retirement age and maximum retirement age. The estimation calculations are based on each person's previous earnings.

In addition, the occupational pension statement shows a person’s entire work history, for which they have earned a pension on.

Veritas said the technical accessibility of the statements has also been improved.

"In future, the occupational pension statement can be read with, for example, a screen reader. The statements also work better on mobile devices than before,” Toivonen said.
