EIOPA reappoints two Management Board members for a second and final term

The Board of Supervisors of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has reappointed two members to its Management Board for a second term.

These are Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority chief advisor of insurance supervision, Teija Korpiaho, and Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency president of the board, Ante Žigman.

Korpiaho and Žigman have served on EIOPA’s Management Board since the summer of 2023.

This reappointment is for a period of two and a half years and will conclude on 22 June 2028 and 30 July 2028, respectively.

EIOPA’s Management Board is made up of EIOPA chairperson, Petra Heilkema, six representatives of national supervisory authorities and a representative from the European Commission.

The board’s role is to ensure that EIOPA accomplishes its mission and fulfils the tasks assigned to it.

This will be both Korpiaho and Žigman’s final term on EIOPA’s Management Board.
