The Second Swedish National Pension Fund (AP2) has appointed Anna Hammer as its head of asset management, effective from spring.
Hammer will succeed Erik Kleväng Callert, who was appointed AP2's chief investment officer.
She is currently investment manager at Länsförsäkringar Liv and previously was chief economist. Prior to that, she worked at the Ministry of Finance and at the National Institute of Economic Research.
Commenting on the appointment, AP2 CEO, Eva Halvarsson, said that the fund was “very pleased” with the recruitment of Anna Hammer and has a deep and broad knowledge base and experience in management, macroeconomics and leadership.
“She is an appreciated and communicative leader and has a great commitment to AP2's important social mission. I am convinced that Anna is the right person to continue the development of our asset management,” Halvarsson said.
Hammer added: "I look forward to this great assignment, to manage the Swedish people's pension money.
"AP2 has undergone a major transformation process over the past year, and I now have the privilege of taking the baton and continuing the implementation together with the fund's competent organisation."
