- Denmark’s AkademikerPension partnered with the Association of Visual Artists (BKF) to offer a pension scheme to the association's around 2,000 members.
The agreement means that members of the union can voluntarily set up a pension scheme with AkademikerPension, mediated via BKF's channels to the members. Commenting on the news, AkademikerPension CEO, Jens Munch Holst, stated: "I am very honoured that the Association of Visual Artists has chosen us as the provider of a pension agreement for its members. We want to be the pension fund of choice for all academics and see BKF as a perfect match, as the association shares many of our values regarding financial security, climate, diversity, workers' rights and more."
- Dutch pension fund ABP has updated its pension planner, MyABP.
The new version of the tool aims to give savers complete freedom to view and compare all kinds of choices and combinations, after customer research suggested that savers wanted to be able to view different options. As a result, savers will be able to see all of their pension options together, alongside an explanation as to which choices do not go together and the potential consequences of different options.
- Dutch pension fund Pensioen Schoonmaak has launched a new translation app in collaboration with APG's innovation hub, GroeiFabriek.
Announcing the new tool, the group noted that its members cover more than a hundred different nationalities, with language barriers making it difficult to properly discuss pension saving options. The group suggested that this is a particular concern at the moment, as the switch to the new pension system takes place. Commenting, Pensioen Schoonmaak director, Tarik Uçar, stated: “We want everyone to understand our website and letters. That everyone can find information. And make the right pension choices. This is sometimes difficult, because not everyone speaks the same language. How great would it be if language was no longer a barrier? If everyone can be informed in their native language? That was the challenge we wanted to take on together. And we succeeded."
