The Board of Directors of Finnish earnings-related pension company, Veritas, has elected independent arbitrator, Gisela Knuts, to continue as chair and STTK director of social impact, Taina Vallander, as vice-chair for 2026.
The elections took place at the Board of Directors meeting on 23 January, where members were also elected to the board's committees.
For the Investment and Risk Committee, Björn Teir was elected as chairperson, and the rest of the committee consists of Knuts, Carola Nilsson, Jukka Sjösten and Penna Urrila.
The Investment and Risk Committee is involved in preparing the investment and risk management plan and consists of at least three members, all of whom are members of the Board of Directors with solid investment expertise.
Meanwhile, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee saw three elections, with Knuts as chairperson and Vallander and Panu Routila as members.
The Nomination and Remuneration Committee are in charge of preparing the appointments of the company's senior management for consideration by the Board of Directors. The work of the committee is led by the chairman of the board and has at least two other members, one of whom is the vice chairman of the board.
In addition to this, the meeting also saw appointments to the audit committee, including Andreas Remmer as chairperson, and Knuts, Meri Lindström and Ida Saavalainen as members.
The Audit Committee are responsible for issues relating to the company's financial situation and financial reporting, as well as internal control.
