Swedish pensioners will receive a monthly pension increase of up to SEK 840 from 2022, the Swedish Pensions Agency has stated.
Most pensioners will see increases of between SEK 360 and SEK 840 a month, after-tax. The amount differs between different groups within the pensioner collective. On December 25, pensioners can log in and see their personal amounts for 2022 on pensionsmyndigheten.se.
There are several different factors that affect how the different parts of the pension develop. The compliance index governs income and supplementary pensions and will be increased by 2.5 per cent for 2022. The price base amount, which affects the guarantee pension and defined benefit occupational pensions, will be increased by 1.5 per cent.
“Next year, eight out of 10 pensioners will receive an increase in their total pension by between SEK 360 and 840 per month after tax. The increase in the pension will be higher at the 2021 turn of the year compared to the turn of the year in 2020, which is largely due to a stronger income development in society in 2021 compared with 2020,” Swedish Pensions Agency analyst, Linda Wiese, said.
