Previously, he has held senior positions at SEB Trygg Liv and Ikano, among others.

His new role involves responsibility for the sales organisation, including direct sales, intermediary sales and market communication.

Commenting on his appointment, SH Pension CEO, Annelie Helsing, said: Jens has worked in the pension industry for a long time and is a familiar face to many.

"It feels incredibly exciting to welcome someone with such solid experience from many leading roles to us at SH Pension."

Ankelstam added: "It will be very exciting to be part of SH Pension's journey as the clear challenger in traditional mutual insurance.

"I look forward to introducing even more intermediaries and end customers to a truly well-run traditional mutual insurance."
