Sweden’s Krykans Pension reports 4.2 per cent return for 2025

Sweden’s Krykans Pension (Church of Sweden pension fund) achieved a return of 4.2 per cent in 2025, down from 5.9 per cent in 2024.

Looking even further back to 2023, the pension fund made a return of 7.6 per cent.

Its full-year results for 2025 revealed that the solvency ratio of the pension fund was 267 per cent at year end, up from 264 per cent the previous year.

Meanwhile, its total assets under management amounted to SEK 27.7bn, up from SEK 26.9bn. Premium income amounted to SEK 621.3m, up from SEK 580.5m.

The pension fund said premium income derives solely from the defined contribution pension plan, as Kyrkans Pension is offering a 100 per cent premium discount for the fifth consecutive year regarding the defined benefit pension plan.

The management cost ratio remained unchanged at 0.22 per cent.
