PFA customers checking their pensions ‘like never before’

PFA customers are checking their pensions ‘like never before’, according to data from the Danish pension provider.

Up to 64 per cent of private customers checked their pension on the PFA website in 2024, a 10 per cent increase on the previous year.

‘My PFA’ had 5.2 million visits in total, according to the insurance company, whose pension scheme invests on behalf of more than 1.3 million Danes.

"This is fantastic news, and shows more and more people are realising the importance of their pension,” claimed PFA private economist, Camilla Schjølin Poulsen.

“Pensions are our key to financial freedom and the foundation for realising our dreams and opportunities later in life."

"It's a classic mistake to think that retirement is something you only have to think about shortly before you retire. I recommend that you check your pension at least every three years to make sure you're on the right track towards the pension you want."

Poulsen also highlighted six questions which customers should have in mind when checking their pension: Are you saving enough, are you covered well enough, do you pay into retirement savings, have you chosen the right investment risk, who stands to inherit your pension, and is your pension ready for divorce?
