The Finnish Employment Pension Law and Constitution Service websites have been merged into one service, Employment Pension Law and Practice.

In the future, occupational pension legislation, central jurisprudence on occupational pensions, index numbers, bases and monetary amounts will all be available on the same website, Telp.fi. The website is now more user-friendly and works more efficiently, the Finnish Centre for Pensions stated.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has advised that Latvia take steps to safeguard the sustainability of its pension system.

The comments were made by the Executive Board of the IMF as it concluded the Article IV consultation with the country. It said that directors agreed that fiscal reforms should focus on growth-enhancing tax measures, coupled with policies to improve public investment management and to safeguard the sustainability of the pension system. Overall the IMF said that Latvia is facing an inflation shock, slow growth, and geopolitical challenges. After averaging 17.2 per cent in 2022, headline inflation remained elevated at 12.3 per cent y/y in May, largely driven by high energy and food price increases.
