Ireland’s Pensions Authority to create expert panel

Ireland’s Pensions Authority is to create a panel of subject matter experts to assist it with technical issues.

Members of the panel would be asked from time to time to assist the authority on a confidential basis with specific technical queries and/or to provide training or information for authority employees on particular matters.

It is welcoming applications from retired subject matter experts from across the pensions, financial and regulatory sectors.

The areas of interest include risk management, in particular in relation to financial entities and institutions and pension scheme risk management; pensions scheme and PRSA administration and pension administration by life insurance companies; and investment management.

However, the authority also said that subject matter experts in any area related to pensions are also welcome to apply. Those interested can find out more information here, with applications open until COB Friday 16 September.
