Industriens Pension has entered into an agreement with general contractor HHM for the construction of 171 homes, a daycare center and a shared activity center, in the new district of Landskabsbyen.
The new district will be built in the area immediately north of Egedal Station, with Industriens Pension as the developer, and is designed to ensure that all homes will have direct access to open spaces and recreational natural areas.
In addition to the development, Industriens Pension will be responsible for landscaping and planting a green belt that will wind through Egedal town and Landskabsbyen.
With the new general contractor agreement with HHM and a building permit recently received, the group confirmed that construction of the new district is now expected to begin.
Commenting on the news, Industriens Pension property manager, Søren Tang Kristensen, said: “We look forward to helping to create a new attractive district where nature, homes and urban spaces are carefully thought out together.
"With Landskabsbyen, we will create a district in open and green surroundings, where residents also have easy access to Copenhagen via, among other things, the S-train and supercycle path. We are very much looking forward to seeing life unfold in Landskabsbyen."
Adding to this, HHM CEO, Peter Carstensen, said: “We are very much looking forward to continuing the good and trusting cooperation from the development and design process to the actual construction.
"The close and trusting cooperation over the past two years means that we now have a solid foundation for completing the construction with good, well-documented solutions. The result is, among other things, high construction quality, healthy homes and good overall economy."
The first homes in Landskabsbyen are expected to be completed in late autumn 2026.
