Insurance and Pension Denmark (I&P Denmark) has become a co-signatory of a new cyber-security pact, which aims to increase awareness of cybercrime and give Denmark’s small and medium-sized companies a competitive advantage.
I&P Denmark said that the risk of cyber-attacks is greater than ever and both public authorities and private companies are in the firing line for attacks and data loss.
I&P Denmark head of digitalisation policy, Sigrid Floor Toft, said: “With the new pact, we’re establishing a strong collaboration between the authorities and the private sector to ensure knowledge sharing about cyber incidents and exchange of experience across sectors.”
The other co-signatories include the Ministry of Trade and Industry, DI, Dansk Erhverv, Finans Danmark, the IT industry, Industriens Fond, SMV-Danmark, IDA and HK.
I&P Denmark said that for small and medium-sized enterprises, the pact can become a very important safeguard against cybercriminals.
“The Cyber Security Pact will raise the digital security level of Danish SMEs to the highest level in the EU. Thus, the pact will work to make Danish companies' digital security level a competitive advantage,” Floor Toft said.
