Finland's Ilmarinen appoints Tuomas Teuri as chief technology and development officer

Ilmarinen's Board of Directors has appointed Tuomas Teuri as chief technology and development officer and as a member of the management team.

Teuri joins Ilmarinen from Helen Ltd, where he has held the role of director of digital solutions since 2019.

Prior to that, he worked in development and information management in the health service sector. He also has extensive experience in the financial sector.

Commenting on the appointment, Ilmarinen CEO and president, Mikko Mursula, said: “I am pleased that we will have Tuomas at Ilmarinen and that together we will be able to take Ilmarinen forward in our strongly digitalised industry. Tuomas plays a key role in utilising data and technology to build even better services for our customers.”

Adding to this, Teuri said: “Ilmarinen is a socially significant data-intensive operator, whose opportunities are significantly increased by rapidly developing technology.

“As chief technology and development officer, my task is both to ensure the foundation of stable and reliable technology and to drive development forward with determination.

“The company's ambitious digital goals and strong foundation make this development phase particularly interesting. I'm happy to be able to bring my own experience to this work.”

Teuri will start his new role at Ilmarinen at the beginning of April 2027 at the latest.
