Finland’s Veritas appoints Tommy Sandås as acting CEO

Finnish earnings-related pension provider Veritas has announced that current CFO, Tommy Sandås, will take on the role of acting CEO, following the departure of Carl Haglund.

Haglund’s last working day at Veritas will be 4 August 2025 and Sandås will take over the role then and continue throughout any induction period of the new CEO.
The company also announced that a recruitment search has begun to replace Haglund, who announced his departure from the company in June after three years in the role.

He is leaving the company to take up a new position elsewhere.

Commenting on his departure at the time it was announced, Haglund said: "I am grateful for the past years at Veritas and proud of all that we have achieved together. I would like to warmly thank all Veritans for their good cooperation and all clients for their trust.”

Furthermore, Veritas board chair, Gisela Knuts, thanked Haglund for his work at the company.

"On behalf of the entire board, I would like to warmly thank Mr Haglund for his significant contribution to Veritas. We wish him success in his new position," she said.
