EIOPA elects Evelyne Massé as a member of its management board

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority’s (EIOPA) Board of Supervisors has elected Evelyne Massé, who is the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority first deputy secretary general, as a new member of its management board.

She replaces Margarida Corrêa de Aguiar, former president of the Portuguese Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority.

Massé’s appointment is for a period of two and a half years with the option to extend for an additional term.

EIOPA’s management board comprises the chairperson of EIOPA and six representatives from national supervisory authorities.

In addition, a representative of the European Commission and the executive director participate in the management board meetings.

The management board's role is to ensure that EIOPA accomplishes its mission and fulfils the tasks assigned to it.
