Denmark’s P+ reports DKK 18.2bn return for 2023

Danish pension provider P+ made an investment return of DKK 18.2bn in 2023.

Publishing its full-year results, P+ also revealed that its membership reached over 114,000 and contributions increased to DKK 6.9bn.

Members with the market rate product P+ Livscyklus, medium risk and 15 years to retirement received a return of 16.9 per cent; those with the investment profile P+ Bæredygtig returned 18 per cent.

"It paid off to have a relatively high level of risk in 2023 when financial markets rose across the board. This meant that all asset classes contributed to the year's return and that we achieved a total investment return of just over DKK 18bn for our members' pensions," P+ CEO, Kåre Hahn Michelsen, said.

The investment portfolio P+ Balance, which most members with an average interest rate product follow, generated a return of 13.2 per cent. On this basis, the board has set a deposit interest rate of 4.5 per cent in 2024 for the majority of members with an average interest rate scheme.
