Denmark’s statutory pension fund, ATP, has become a founding partner of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Competence Pact.
As a new founding partner of the AI Competence Pact, ATP has joined a national community working to future-proof Denmark through responsible and human-centred use of artificial intelligence.
Commenting, ATP executive vice president pension & labour market, Anne Kristine Axelsson, said: "At ATP, we pay two out of three Danish welfare funds - a total of DKK 345bn a year - on behalf of the labour market parties, municipalities and the state.
“Throughout our customer service and case management, AI already plays a significant role in enabling us to work efficiently and create good citizen and customer experiences.
"But it won't happen on its own, so it's important that we are ambitious and constantly develop the business and our employees' competencies in the use of AI. That's why we think the AI Competence Pact is an important initiative, and we look forward to contributing to the work and jointly improving AI competences.”
By joining the AI Competence Pact, ATP has committed to continuously upskill its employees in the use of artificial intelligence. Efforts will include both general technology understanding and more specialised knowledge within data ethics, automation and the use of generative AI.
The goal is to ensure that employees don't just keep up with developments but help shape them.
The AI Competence Pact brings together a growing number of companies, organisations, educational institutions and authorities from across the country who all share the vision of equipping Denmark for a responsible AI future.
