DNB appoints Chris Figee as supervisory board member

The Dutch pensions regulator, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), has appointed Chris Figee as a supervisory board member, effective 1 March 2025.

Figee was appointed on behalf of the shareholder by Minister of Finance, Eelco Heinen, on the recommendation of the DNB’s supervisory board, for an initial term of four years.

Figee has filled the vacancy for a member with a financial sector profile.

He has experience working in the financial sector and previously since 2020 was chief financial officer (CFO) and member of the executive board at KPN N.V.

Prior to that, he held the position of CFO and member of the executive board at A.S.R. Nederland N.V. from 2014 to 2020.

In his earlier career, he was director of strategy and performance management at Achmea and a partner at McKinsey & Company. Figee began his career as a portfolio manager at Aegon Levensverzekering N.V.

Additionally, since 2022 Figee has been a member of the supervisory board and chairman of the audit committee of Royal Schiphol Group N.V.

Commenting on the appointment, DNB supervisory board chairman, Martin van Rijn, said: "It is with great pleasure that I welcome Chris Figee. His extensive experience in the financial sector, combined with his managerial expertise, makes him a valuable addition to the supervisory board.

“His knowledge in the field of financial analysis and risk management will contribute to the further strengthening of the supervisory board."
