AAE announces results of latest elections

The Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) has appointed four new members to its committee and panel and re-elected a board member, following its latest elections.

Denmark’s Jette Lunding Sandqvist was re-elected as an AAE board member until October 2027. Sandqvist joined the AAE board of directors in January 2023 and is eligible to serve an additional three-year term.

In addition to this, Germany’s Birgit Kaiser was elected as AAE Professionalism Committee chairperson, succeeding Switzerland’s Christophe Heck.

Spain’s Rafael Moreno Ruiz was elected as AAE Education Committee chairperson, taking over from Germany’s Henning Wergen.

Kaiser and Ruiz both served as vice chairperson for the past six years and will serve their first terms until October 2027, with the option of a second three-year term.

Furthermore, Lithuania’s Eugenija Bieliauskiené and Germany’s Wilhelm Schneemeier were elected AAE Nominations Panel members, succeeding Czech Republic’s Jana Zelinkova and Spain’s Maitane Mancebo.

The AAE thanked those leaving for their “unlimited commitment over the last years” and wished all elected success in their new or extended role.
