Swedish court continuing to review Indecap’s dispute with FTN

The Administrative Court in Stockholm is continuing to review Indecap's application concerning the Swedish Fund Selection Agency's (FTN) procurement of actively managed global equity funds, FTN's latest update has revealed.

The case concerns FTN’s SEK 200bn procurement for Sweden’s premium pension system, the agency’s largest procurement to date.

The tender, announced on 26 February 2026, has been paused due to the judicial review after Indecap Fonder lost out in the selection process.

On 17 April, Indecap submitted a statement to the Administrative Court setting out legal arguments and additional grounds in support of its claims. FTN was subsequently granted an extension until 29 May to respond.

In its response, FTN argued that the challenge was primarily intended to delay the replacement of its existing fund on the premium pension platform.

The decision is now with the Administrative Court regarding the next steps in handling the case. The Administrative Court is examining whether FTN has complied with the procurement rules applicable to the premium pension fund platform.

No timetable has yet been set for when a judgment will be issued.
