NBIM acquires extra 10% stake in UK property for £81m

Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), responsible for the investments of Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG), has acquired an additional 10 per cent interest in a UK property.

NBIM paid £81m for its additional 10 per cent ownership interest in The Pollen Estate, located in London’s West End, valuing the estate at £794m, including existing debt.

An agreement was signed on 8 November 2024 and the seller of the interest is Greenwich Hospital. NBIM already owned 58 per cent in The Pollen Estate, which it purchased in 2014.

The asset management of the estate will continue to be overseen by the board of the Pollen Estate trustee company.

The estate comprises approximately 750,000 square feet of predominantly office and retail space.
