Sweden’s Second AP Fund (AP2) has appointed Cecilia Wide as head of communications, and she will join AP2’s management team.
Wide joins AP2 from Akademiska Hus, where she worked for 14 years and most recently served as director of marketing and communications.
She has over 20 years of experience in strategic and operational communications and will replace the current head of communications and sustainability, Åsa Norman.
Norman will now serve as head of AP2’s sustainability department, allowing her to focus on leading and further developing the fund’s sustainability work.
Meanwhile, as head of communications, Wide will be responsible for AP2’s internal and external communications, media relations, digital channels and strategic communications issues.
Commenting on the appointment, AP2 CEO, Eva Halvarsson, said: “We are delighted to welcome Cecilia to AP2. She is an experienced and strategic communications leader with a proven ability to build trust, explain complex issues and develop communications that support the organisation’s objectives.
“Her experience of both management and organisations of critical importance to society makes her ideally suited to lead and develop AP2’s communications.”
Halvarsson also said that Norman “has done a fantastic job of leading and developing AP2’s communications, whilst at the same time building up and strengthening our sustainability work”.
She added that the change of roles for Norman and the appointment of Wide “puts AP2 in a strong position to continue developing in both areas”.
