Speaker profile: Thierry Verkest

Thierry Verkest is leading the market development of the International Wealth practice in EMEA at Aon. Thierry has over 30 years of consulting experience. He started his career in Brussels with the former Woodrow Milliman network before joining Hewitt Associates in 2002. Today he is a Partner at Aon, member of the International Wealth practice, appointed as the actuary and risk manager of several pan-European pension funds. He is the Chair of the Board of Aon’s multi-employer cross-border pension fund United Pensions. He has built a long experience in helping multinational corporations to organise, finance, design and communicate pension schemes in a multi-country environment. Through his years of experience, he has become an expert in mitigating pension risk and improving cost-effectiveness through the implementation of appropriate governance structures. Thierry is certified actuary in Belgium and Luxembourg, member of the Belgian Institute of Actuaries.
