Speaker profile: Jana Bour

Jana is a seasoned professional with more than 10 years of experience in EU policy making. She joined EPRA in 2016 from BDO, the fifth largest network of public accounting, tax and advisory firms in the world. As an experienced strategic and policy advisor, she has worked on improving the position of listed REITs in various policy initiatives and legislations, including the OECD Globe II, Solvency II, AIFMD, PRIIPs, PEPP and EU Taxonomy. Since 2022, Jana is the organisation’s leading voice on EU Sustainable Finance and related engagement with the policy makers. In her role, she works with publicly listed property companies, institutional investors and asset managers and thereby attaining a wealth of knowledge on how capital markets work and what are the key challenges and opportunities when advancing responsible investments. Jana is a native Slovak speaker, fluent in English and intermediate in French. She has a legal background with a specialisation in European Law gained at Maastricht University (NL). After she gathered a political experience in the European Parliament, she moved to the private sector representing and advocating for the interests of private property owners (UIPI).
